Bin vekhe man mannda nahin ey bin man manne pyar nahin; Pyar bina nahin bhagti te bin bhagti berha paar nahin. Guru dikhave guru manave guru hi pyar sikhanda ey; Bin gur bhagti mool na hove jo karda pachhtanda ey. Satgur pason banda jo abinashi di pehchan kare; Avtar guru di nazar savalli chhin andar kalian kare. |

Unless the mind visualizes God, it is not convinced and unless it is convinced there can be no love; There is no devotion without love and without devotion one cannot transcend the ocean of materialism. Only the True Master reveals god, convinces the mind and teaches how to love; Devotion is just not possible without the grace of the True Master and the one who tries, repents; The person who perceives the Eternal One from the True Master; Avtar says, the True Master in his benevolence redeems him in a moment. |
Meaning
The mind will not be convinced without seeing, and there is no love without conviction. Without love there is no devotion, without devotion there is no salvation. The True Master shows, the True Master convinces, and only the True Master teaches to love. Without the True Master devotion does not find its true meaning and purpose, and whosoever practices devotion without enlightenment, regrets sooner or later. A person who comes in contact with the True Master gets the ability to discern the Formless God. Avtar says, those who receive the benevolence of the True Master’s enlightenment are blessed in an instant.
